The following document outlines the privacy policy adopted by Kaliese Ltd. Policy last updated 10th March 2023.
Here at Kaliese we aim to provide you with a personalised and enjoyable shopping experience. As part of this we do record some personal information about our customers. - To create and access an account with Kaliese and to provide the services requested we record information including your name, address, contact and delivery information plus a password to protect your account (contractual basis).
- To improve and monitor our customer service and respond to your queries or complaints effectively we retain all correspondence with us (legitimate interest basis).
- To allow us to offer personalised features and improve our website we record how you interact with us online including information on the devices you use to interact with us. We combine this with your account information, purchase history, demographics and third-party information to offer your products you are more likely to be interested in (legitimate interest basis).
- To improve our marketing so that we may offer you the products and brands that you are most likely to be interested in we use your account information, purchase history, demographics and third-party information (legitimate interest basis). As part of this we may share aggregated and anonymised information with advertising partners so that they can show adverts to the customer segments who are most likely to be interested in them. We may also share aggregated and anonymised data with providers who specialise in consumer profiling.
- If you give us permission we may use content shared by you in our sales and marketing, on our website, on our social media pages and in any other promotional channel (contractual basis).

Within this section we use the term cookie to describe similar technologies like pixels or tags. Please note, this policy refers only to sites controlled by Kaliese. There are third party social sites where we offer you the ability to share your experiences of Kaliese (for example, facebook and twitter), however these sites will have their own cookie policy.

- To record how you interact with our site. We may use this information to develop and improve the quality of the services and products we provide.

We use a variety of cookies on our website. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be turned off, an example would be cookies that are used to make your transaction secure. Other cookies, such as those that we use to monitor performance, can be turned off although doing so may affect your experience of using our website.
If you register for an account with us, we will store your personal information for as long as the account is active. We also keep personal information for as long as you are a customer. We consider you to be a customer for 2 years from the point in time of your last purchase or whilst we are dealing with your query. To comply with legal requirements, we generally keep this data for 7 years after you close your account and/or cease to be a customer.
Whilst we are storing personal information, we will remove any personal data once it is no longer needed.
There may be situations where we wish to share your data with third parties. We anonymise data whenever possible and will only ever transfer the data necessary to achieve the purpose for which it is being shared. We ensure that any third party with whom we share data have systems and procedures in place to guarantee the security and privacy of the data. You will always be asked whether you would like to take part in any research or customer surveys.

- Regulators and other official bodies (for example, the police) if we receive a formal request or as part of any legal proceedings.
Some of our suppliers are based outside of the United Kingdom. If it does become necessary to share information with any party or organisation that is based outside of the United Kingdom we firstly ensure that they have systems and procedures in place so that your data is subject to the same levels of security and privacy as those used within the UK.
If we do need to transfer data outside of the UK we will use either the European Commission approved contractual clauses for the transfer of data to third countries or the International Data Transfer Agreement and Addendum for the transfer of personal information to third countries.
If you place an order with us from outside of the UK, any information you share with us will be transferred to the UK where it will be stored.
